SAN DIEGO - San Diego travels to the east coast this weekend to compete in the 45th annual Paul Short Invite on Saturday in Bethlehem, Penn.
"I look for the team to handle the travel and unite through this journey," said head coach
Will Guarino. "Both teams will see many teams in competition in their respective races, quality in competition and ultimately will come out with an experience of a lifetime."
The meet is hosted by Lehigh University with the men's 8km brown race at 9:15 a.m. (PT)

Last Time Out:
- The Toreros placed third in the USD Invite two weeks ago in Mission Bay.
- Junior Patrick Bruce and Freshman Nic Dinsdale worked together to finish up top for the Toreros. Bruce finished seventh with a time 26:22 and Dinsdale finished eighth at 26:27.
- Jackson Pearce, Ethan Steiner, and Isiah Quiambao rounded out the top five finishers for the Toreros.
Coach Guarino's Take:
They are youthful and are so hungry to race. They have been seated correctly and one can look forward to seeing them continue to develop as a team. They have found their groove and are starting to understand one another."
Scouting the Competition:
The Men will be in the Brown division. They will race against 43 teams. Notable names like Columbia, Colgate, Temple, VCU, Holy Cross, George Washing and NYU.
The Course:
The picturesque Goodman Campus Cross Country Course navigates through a beautiful landscape of cornfields, green space, wooded areas and campus scenery. Regarded as one of the best in the Northeast region and the nation, the course has hosted three NCAA National Championship meets (1979, 1983, 1993) and numerous NCAA Regional Championships, most recently in 2017.
