SAN DIEGO Coming off its second bye week in a three-week stretch, San Diego football returns to the field and begins its conference slate by hosting Marist at Torero Stadium for Homecoming Weekend and the Brian Fogarty PFL Classic.

The Toreros enter Saturday having won 22 of their last 23 home games, including the most recent victory over Harvard (31-23) on September 21. USD opens its 27th season in the PFL after one of its most challenging nonconference schedules, which included matchups against two Big Sky opponents (Cal Poly, then-#5 UC Davis) and the Crimson.

Marist is already in the midst of its conference season as it enters Saturday with a 1-1 record in PFL play. The Red Foxes have lost two straight, including last week's 41-17 loss to Drake.

Saturday's contest will be available on the WCC Network, with the Voice of the Toreros Jack Cronin on the call. Livestream links, as well as live stats, will be on USDToreros.com.

LAST TIME OUT: DOMINANT FIRST HALF LIFTS TOREROS TO WIN OVER HARVARD
- Behind a dominant first-half effort from both sides of the ball, the Toreros earned their first win of the season with a 31-23 victory over Harvard at Torero Stadium on September 21. The win, USD's first all-time against Harvard, was fueled by redshirt senior Reid Sinnett throwing for 255 yards in the first half and finishing the game 22-of-30 for 384 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, the USD defense bounced back from its first two games by shutting out Harvard through halftime and held it to 228 total yards after the first three quarters. The front seven proved to be the most effective for the Toreros as they had 10 combined tackles for a loss, three sacks and four quarterback hurries. USD also limited Harvard to just 42 passing yards in the first half.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST MARIST
- USD is 14-0 all-time against Marist, including last year's 31-14 win in Poughkeepsie in November.

- The last time the two teams met in San Diego was November 18, 2017 when the Toreros topped the Red Foxes 35-7.

STREAKING
- Following a challenging nonconference slate, the Toreros enter PFL play where they have won five straight titles, 29 straight league games and 34 straight conference home games. The conference winning streak and conference home winning streak are both the longest active streaks in all of Division I.

- Entering Saturday, it will have been more than 3,280 days since USD lost a conference home game (Last: October 9, 2010) and more than 1,455 days since a conference loss overall (Last: October 10, 2015).

- Since 2005, USD has won 73 of its last 84 overall home games (.869).
