SAN DIEGO Riding a three-game winning streak and week off due to finals, San Diego will now face Stanford in the first game of the Al Attles Classic at the Chase Center on Saturday at noon.

The Toreros, who have held three straight opponents to 54 points or less, take on their third Pac-12 opponent of the season in the 10-win Cardinal. Not only looking for its longest winning streak since the 2017-18 season, USD is also aiming for its 600th Division I win in program history.

Saturday's game can be watched on the Pac-12 Networks, with Ted Robinson (play-by-play), Bill Walton (analyst) and Ashley Adamson (reporter) on the call. The Voice of the Toreros Jack Cronin will broadcast the game with live audio available here.

LAST TIME OUT: USD GETS THIRD WIN A ROW
- San Diego held UC Davis to one field goal in the final seven minutes and went on a 12-2 run late in the second half to pull ahead to a 58-54 win over the Aggies last Saturday at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. The Toreros (6-7) earned their third win in a row, their best streak of the season, by holding the Aggies (4-8) to 31% from the field and 21% from three-point range. With UC Davis limited offensively, USD made five of its last eight shots to help capture its fourth victory at home. Joey Calcaterra kept the Aggies away in the final minute by making 5-of-6 free throws. The redshirt sophomore finished with the team lead with 11 points, helped by going 7-of-8 at the charity stripe for the entire game. For the fourth consecutive contest, the Toreros outrebounded the opposition, 36-29, and outscored them in the paint, 32-18. Guard Marion Humphrey led the team in rebounds with a career-high 12 while every Torero that played had at least one board.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST STANFORD
- Saturday will be the eighth all-time meeting between San Diego and Stanford, with the Toreros trailing in the all-time series, 2-5.

- The two schools last faced each other in 2011-12 when the Cardinal beat the Toreros, 75-55, in Palo Alto on December 17, 2011. Johnny Dee led the Toreros that game in scoring with 12, but Stanford shot 56.5% from the field in the second half to pull away for the win.

- San Diego has lost two straight to Stanford. Its last win was on November 13, 2009 when the Toreros, behind 18 points apiece from De'Jon Jackson and Brandon Johnson, pulled off a 77-64 win in the Jenny Craig Pavilion.

- The Toreros won the first ever meeting in 1980-81, a 79-70 overtime win in Palo Alto.

LOOKING AHEAD
- The Toreros will go into their seven-day holiday break before taking on Whitter College at the Jenny Craig Pavilion on Sunday, December 29 at 2 p.m.

54 OR LESS
- The Toreros come into Saturday's game having held each of their last three opponents to 54 points or less. It is the first time since January 2009 that the Toreros have turned in that feat.

- In the 2008-09 season, USD held San Francisco, Santa Clara and Pepperdine to 50, 50 and 47 points, respectively.

- USD's average margin of victory in the last three games is 11 points.

GETTING STOPS
- USD has held opponents to less than 60 points four times this season, going 4-0 in such contests (other: Nov. 14 at Weber State).

- Last year, the Toreros held 10 opponents to 59 points or less and posted a 10-0 record in those games. They have won 15 consecutive games, dating back to 2017-18, when holding teams to less than 60 points.
