Aminata Dosso reached double-digit scoring in an 80-49 loss to Saint Mary's on Saturday afternoon in the Jenny Craig Pavilion.

The Toreros (8-16, 1-12 WCC) faced a tough offense from the Gaels (16-8, 9-4 WCC) who shot 54 percent from the field.

Dosso scored a team-high of 10 points, while
Madison Pollock led the team with eight rebounds and added nine points.
Kiera Oakry led the team in assists with three and chipped in eight points as well.

The Gaels took an early jump in the first quarter with a 12-point run leaving the Toreros to play catch up the rest of the game. USD struggled to get points on the board leading up to the second half.

The Toreros had a solid day at the free-throw line, averaging 71 percent and collecting 17 points on 24 attempts. SMC dominated behind the arc, knocking down six threes in the contest.

USD stepped up on defense collecting 20 points off of turnovers and registering 12 steals, three blocks and collecting 32 total rebounds.

Going into the final quarter at 63-32, the deficit proved too great for the Toreros overcome. However, USD battled out the final quarter, adding 17 points in the period, their highest of the game.
