BREMERTON, Wash. – A steady downpour of rain forced the cancellation of the final day of the Washington Husky Invitational on Tuesday, giving the Toreros an 11th-place finish in shortened tournament at the Gold Mountain Golf Club.
USD shot 16-over (293-299) in the two rounds completed on Monday, which tied Gonzaga in the 15-team standings. It finished seven shots back of 10th-place New Mexico (296-289).
Sophomore
Harrison Kingsley led the way for the Toreros, shooting an even-par 72 in the second round to finish one-over in the tournament and tied for 24th.
Alrik Pan finished one stroke behind Kingsley as he turned in a one-over 73 in both the first and second rounds to card a two-over and in a tie for 32nd.
Two Toreros, sophomores
Evan Kawai and
Will Grattan, competed as individuals in the Olympic College Invitational on the Olympic Course. Kawai improved seven strokes from the first to second round to finish tied for 11th. Grattan, meanwhile, tied for 22nd with a 12-over (77-79).
Other Toreros who competed in the Washington Husky Invitational included

Yash Majmudar (11-over, 79-76) and
Joshua Hu (12-over, 73-82).
The Toreros will next compete in the Nick Watney Invitational at the Fort Washington Country Club in Fresno, California September 30-October 1.
