Men’s Basketball Pauses All Activities

SAN DIEGO—The University of San Diego announced today that its men's basketball program will pause all team activities for a period of 14 days as a result of a positive COVID-19 test result within the program.

The university now anticipates the team opening its season on Dec. 9 vs. UCLA at Pauley Pavilion. Previously scheduled games with UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton may be rescheduled during the month of December.

"Our program has and will continue to have a very disciplined and determined approach to the two competitors on our schedule—the teams we face and COVID-19," said head coach Sam Scholl. "We will continue to pursue being the best versions of ourselves each day. We are excited for our return to the court to do what we love together."
