SAN DIEGO – San Diego will take the floor at the Jenny Craig Pavilion for the first time in 2020-21 when the Toreros play host to Nevada on Monday at 6 p.m. PT.

After their Friday matchup with Cal State Fullerton was postponed, the Toreros (0-1) will look to open their home schedule against the Wolf Pack (4-2).

LAST TIME OUT
-San Diego opened up the 2020-21 season on Dec. 9, falling to UCLA 83-56 at Pauley Pavilion.

Frankie Hughes led the Toreros offensively with 18 and 10 points respectively. USD struggled to put up points, shooting 31% from the field.

Yauhen Massalski was one point shy of a double-double and matched his career-high in rebounds, finishing with nine points and 14 rebounds. The senior forward added two blocks and two steals on the night.

-The Toreros struggled off the glass and were out-rebounded by UCLA 50-31 including 16 offensive boards for the Bruins. UCLA registered 13 second-chance points, compared to San Diego's six and had 34 points in the paint, while the Toreros collected 18.

ALL TIME SERIES WITH NEVADA
-Monday will be the 16th all-time meeting between USD and Nevada. The Toreros trail in the series, 4-11.

-The last meeting between the teams came in 2008 with the Toreros finishing on top, 65-51, while the Wolfpack have won seven of the last nine matchups. The teams first met during the 1962-63 season.

LOOKING AHEAD
-Next up, the Toreros will head on the road, traveling to face Cal Poly on Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. before hosting Long Beach State on Dec. 22 (time TBD). USD is still working to reschedule postponed games against Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine in the month of December.
