Three players scored in double figures to lead the offensive efforts, led by senior center
Leticia Soares who put together her second double-double of the year with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Redshirt junior
Jordyn Edwards added 13 points, seven assists and three steals, while guard
Myah Pace tacked on 12 points and four steals.

San Diego collected 33 rebounds in Tuesday's game compared to Portland's 26, led by Soares' 11 boards. The Toreros also cleaned up the offensive glass, turning 13 rebounds into 10 second chance points.

The Pilots then rallied to tie it at 43-43 heading into the fourth quarter. San Diego continued to play well near the basket, scoring 12 of its 18 points in the paint.

The Toreros looked to close it out in the fourth, taking the lead four different times, but the Pilots continued to answer. Both teams stayed within one point of each other for the final three and a half minutes of play. Pace execute with 11 seconds on the clock to score with a driving layup, before Portland responded with one of their own to send the game into overtime.

In overtime, Soares came out swinging for San Diego to tie the game at 60 a piece with three and a half minutes remaining in the period. The Pilots created a two-point edge with under two to play before Edwards came through with a step-back three pointer to make it 63-62 Toreros.

The Pilots hit a jumper with 58 seconds on the clock to create a one-point lead that would hold for the remainder of the contest, 64-63.
