SAN DIEGO -- In the final day of the USD Tournament, San Diego softball (15-12) secured a sweep of CSUN with a walk-off victory in game two on Sunday morning at the USD Softball Complex.

Delaney Heller (9-9) earned the win in the circle in game one going all seven innings. The senior right hander also got the win out of the bullpen in game two.

GAME ONE
The Toreros took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and never surrendered the advantage on the way to a 2-1 win against the Matadors.

Heller was solid in the circle, giving up one run on three hits, allowing one walk and striking out two.

Offensively, the Toreros were paced by senior
Madison Casiano, who went 2-for-2 in the game with a walk and two RBIs. Fellow senior
Sara Silveyra put together a standout performance as well, going 2-for-3 with two doubles.

San Diego got the scoring effort starting early to put both runs across in the first. Casiano drove in both runs for San Diego with a single, that scored Silveyra and junior
Hayley Hensley.

CSUN was able to put one run on the scoreboard before the game was over, but the Toreros still held on for the 2-1 win. Â

GAME TWO
The Toreros rallied to score two in the seventh inning and walked it off on a two-run single off the bat of sophomore
Sophia Bjerk to pick up the 4-3 win over the Matadors in game two.

Heller threw 1.2 shutout innings in relief without giving up a hit, no walks and striking out one. Sophomore
Madison Earnshaw started the ballgame and went 5.1 innings, surrendering three runs, earned, on four hits, walking one and striking out four.

At the plate, the Toreros were led by Bjerk, who went 2-for-4 in the contest with a double and three RBIs. Silveyra put together a noteworthy performance in game two, going 2-for-4. Sophomore
Rion Simms also chipped in for San Diego, putting together one hit in three trips to the plate while adding an RBI.

The Toreros were trailing 1-0 in the fourth inning when they first put runs on the board. San Diego plated two runs off of CSUN pitching, as Bjerk slugged a one-run double to add to the scoring efforts.
CSUN then rallied to take a 3-2 lead before San Diego scored two runs in the bottom half of the seventh to grab the win, walking it off on a two-run single off the bat of Bjerk.

The Toreros are back in action on Thursday, when they will take on UC Santa Barbara to begin the LMU Tournament at 2:30 p.m. (PT) in Los Angeles.
