SAN DIEGO - Steph Gorman, a rising junior guard from Utah State, will transfer to San Diego for the 2020-21 season announced head coach

An impressive scorer with range beyond the arc, Gorman made an impact with the Aggies starting 50 contests and ranking as one of the best shooters in program history.

Gorman currently ranks third in career three-pointers made in Utah State's record books with 122 and ninth in career three-point field goal percentage. This past season she climbed to second in the single-season record books, making 68 three-pointers in 30 games of action.

The Wodonga, Australia native collected 17 double-digit performances in 2019-20, averaging 10.7 points per game. Gorman led the team in assists (85), three-pointers, and steals (59).

On the defensive side of the ball, she recorded five or more steals three times last season, including a career-high six takeaways against WCC-foe Portland on November 7.

Gorman has been recognized for her outstanding work in the classroom, being named an Academic All-Mountain West selection and a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete in 2019.

Gorman joins incoming freshmen Gabby Giuffre and Laura Erikstrup as the class of newcomers for San Diego. The Toreros will return 11 letterwinners, including three out of five starters, for the 2020-21 campaign.
