PORTLAND, Ore. — San Diego women's soccer (6-7, 1-3 WCC) travels to the Pacific Northwest this week to continue West Coast Conference play, taking on Portland (5-7, 1-3 WCC) tomorrow night at Merlo Field.

ALL-TIME SERIES VERSUS PORTLAND
The Toreros are 18-19-2 against the Pilots all-time, with the two programs' last meeting coming in March of 2021 as part of the 2020 (Spring 2021) campaign, a 3-0 USD loss in Portland.
Since the teams' first-ever meeting in 1992, the Toreros are 5-8-1 at Portland, with their most recent victory on the road versus the Pilots coming in November of 2019, a 1-0 decision at Merlo Field.
LAST TIME OUT
USD notched a 2-0 victory over Loyola Marymount last time out on Friday, October 15, taking down the Lions at Torero Stadium.
EVANS NOTCHES FIRST TWO GOALS
Freshman forward
Sara Evans chose a good game to put together the best performance of her young career, adding her first two college goals to propel USD past LMU on Friday night.
Her first goal came at the 31:46 mark in the first half and was achieved with an assist from fellow freshman
Bella Piete to give USD a 1-0 lead they took into the half.
After halftime she added another, doubling the Toreros' lead with a strike at the 73:57 mark to secure her team a 2-0 win over the Lions.
Her two goals this season has put her second on the Torero leaderboard, behind only redshirt junior
Michaela Foster, who has three.
CASTO PITCHES CLEAN SHEET
Ellyn Casto was key to the Toreros' 2-0 win over LMU on Friday night at Torero Stadium, recording four saves to pitch a clean sheet against the Lions.
Her first save came at the 7:26 mark, deflecting a shot to the bottom left of the goal from LMU's Sydney Schultz, then she got another one at the 12:04 mark, saving a shot from Emma Rohleder at the bottom center part of the net.
At the 34:17 mark she added one more, saving a shot from Rene Wasi at the bottom left portion of the goal, then got her fourth and final one in the second half, again denying Schultz at the bottom right part of the goal.
For the season Casto has 60 saves, a mark that leads the Toreros.
FOSTER LEADING THE WAY
Redshirt junior
Michaela Foster has been the Toreros' most dynamic scorer so far in 2021, leading the team with three goals on 12 shots (six on goal) for a total of six points.
The Hamilton, New Zealand native most recently scored on September 25 against Denver, helping USD to a 2-1 victory over the Pioneers at Torero Stadium.
She has yet to come off the field this season, recording 1185 minutes played in 13 matches.
FIVE HAVE FOUR
Behind Foster with six, and Evans with five, five Toreros are tied for third place on the roster with four total points so far this season.
Delaney Jannone,
Aryssa Mahrt,
Maronne Suzuki,
Bekah Valdez, and
Bella Piete make up the list, doing so with a total of seven goals and six assists.
Jannone and Valdez have two goals apiece and no assists, while Mahrt, Suzuki, and Piete each have a single goal and a pair of assists.

After playing the Pilots the Toreros will remain on the road, traveling to Spokane, Washington to take on Gonzaga this Saturday. Kickoff against the Bulldogs is set for 3 p.m. PST.
