Men's Soccer Welcomes LMU Wednesday

SAN DIEGO – San Diego men's soccer (1-12, 0-3 WCC) returns to Torero Stadium for three straight home games, beginning with Loyola Marymount (9-4-1, 1-2 WCC) on Wednesday for a 7:00 PM kickoff.
 
The game will be streamed live on the WCC Network. Live statistics will be available on USDToreros.com.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VERSUS LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
USD holds a 32-16-4 lead in the all-time series. Loyola Marymount has won the last two matches, including a 1-0 win last spring. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
Despite two goals from sophomore forward Nicklas Clausen, San Diego fell at Santa Clara on Saturday night, 3-2.
 
After the Broncos took a 3-0 lead in the 30th minute, USD stormed back to cut the deficit to one. Clausen scored in the 35th minute on a corner kick from Mason Tunbridge, then finished a long ball from Rhys Gourdie in the 52nd minute.
 
Santa Clara was able to hang on over the last 38 minutes to earn the victory.

CLAUSEN CATCHING FIRE
Sophomore forward Nicklas Clausen leads the team and ranks second in the WCC with six goals on the year. He also ranks 40th in the NCAA with 0.55 goals per game.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
USD remains home to face San Francisco on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM PST.
