SAN DIEGO — San Diego Football (4-4, 4-1 PFL) returns home Saturday carrying a four-game win streak. The Toreros continue Pioneer Football League (PFL) play against Valparaiso (2-5, 2-2 PFL).
It was a record-setting Week 8, as Head Coach Dale Lindsey became the winningest head coach in program history and USD tied the record for most points in a single game with 69.

ALL-TIME SERIES VERSUS VALPO
• USD holds a 20-6 advantage in the all-time series.
• Valparaiso snapped the Toreros' 14-game winning streak last spring with a 20-19 win.
LAST TIME OUT
• Tying the program record for most points in a single game, San Diego ran past Presbyterian last Saturday, 69-28.
• Head Coach Dale Lindsey became the winningest coach in program history, surpassing Brian Fogarty with 72 total victories.
• Graduate quarterback Mason Randall completed 24-of-29 passes for 242 yards, four total touchdowns, and no interceptions. Graduate running back Terrence Smith scored three touchdowns in the win, ending with 83 total yards. With 77 all-purpose yards today, senior Emilio Martinez moved into second place all-time (4,539).
• The San Diego defense grabbed four turnovers, including a forced fumble and an interception from junior cornerback Zamir Wallace. Redshirt junior linebacker David Ambagtsheer recovered a blocked punt and walked into the end zone.
LINDSEY MAKES HISTORY
• With a 69-28 win at Presbyterian on October 23, San Diego Head Coach Dale Lindsey set a program record with 72 career wins.
• Lindsey is now in his ninth season at the helm of USD. The three-time PFL Coach of the Year and four-time national coach of the year finalist is 72-25 in his head coaching career as well as a 61-6 record in conference play.
DEFENSIVE TOUCHDOWN TAKEOVER
• San Diego is tied for 3rd in the country for defensive touchdown with three. All of them have come over the last three games.
• In the win over St. Thomas, LB Kama Kamaka ripped the ball from the running back, recovered the fumble, and ran it back 38 yards for a touchdown to tie the game at 24. In the win at Butler, S Michael Hawkins returned an interception 24 yards for a touchdown, and CB Zamir Wallace scored less than seven minutes later on a 53-yard interception return.
