CONCORD, CA—Senior Ethan Steiner paced San Diego men's cross country, finishing with a time of 25:07.3 at the WCC Championships Friday morning. The Toreros finished 9th in the team standings. 

"This was a hard day for USD," said Coach Will Guarino. "75 percent of the team ran well however at this level, we couldn't have mistakes."

Steiner looked strong through the whole race, pacing as San Diego's front runner for 39th overall. Pacing in second place for the Toreros was Freshman Walter Coleman finishing with a time of 26:07.9. Will Stefanou finished seconds behind Coleman for a time of 26:08.9 in third place for the Toreros. Coleman and Stefanou finished next to each other in spots 59 and 60 overall.

Not far behind were Josh Thompson and Russel Gokemeijer finishing the 8k with times under 26:55.

Finishing strong for the Toreros were Marcus O'Leary and Carter Chavira pacing at times under 27:27.
