Toreros Travel to Washington to Play Huskies Friday Night

The Toreros look to continue their winning streak

SEATTLE—The Toreros are traveling to Seattle, WA to face off the Washington Huskies on Friday at 7 p.m PT. Coming off a 33 point win against Hawai'i on Tuesday night, the Toreros are ready to continue their winning streak.

THE BREAKDOWN
In the first game of the 2021-22 regular season, San Diego defeated Hawai'i, 86-53. This game marks the 12th highest game recorded in team points behind 93 points against Loyola Marymount in 1991. Four players scored in double-digits on Tuesday night: Erica Martinsen with a career-high 18 points, Kiera Oakry with 12 points, Kylie Horstmeyer with 11 points, and Sydney Hunter with 10. 

The Toreros are 1-0 (0-0 WCC) ahead of Friday's matchup against the Washington Huskies (0-0, 0-0 Pac-12). This game is the Huskies' home opener and the first game of the season.

Washington leads the series all-time with three wins and one loss. The Toreros and Huskies last faced off in 2019 resulting in a loss with a score of 65-47.
