Box Score SEATTLE—The Toreros (1-1, 0-0 WCC) went down 57-51 in a tough loss against the Washington Huskies (1-0, 0-0 Pac-12) on Friday night.
Erica Martinsen and Jordyn Edwards led the Torero's offense with 11 points each. Not far behind was Kendall Bird and Kiera Oakry with six points each. Leading the assists for the Toreros were Jordyn Edwards with four and Kendall Bird with two. On defense, San Diego had 32 total rebounds. Kasey Neubert was aggressive at the rim with eight rebounds followed by Kendall Bird with seven. The Toreros played scrappy on defense resulting in 22 steals. Leading the charge was Jordyn Edwards with five steals, Kylie Horstmeyer with four, and Kiera Oakry with three. Kylie Horstmeyer defended the rim with two blocks tonight.
