Bird, Edwards, Neubert, and Gorman Set Career-Highs in Win Over Idaho

IDAHOThe Toreros (2-1, 0-0 WCC) beat the Idaho Vandals (1-1, 0-0 Big Sky Conference) 66-46 at ICCU Arena in Moscow, ID on Sunday afternoon. San Diego played phenomenally with Kendall Bird, Jordyn Edwards, Kasey Neubert, and Steph Gorman setting career-highs in points scored, steals, and assists.

Kendall Bird led the Toreros' offense with a career high of 19 points followed by Jordyn Edwards with 11 and Kasey Neubert with 10. As a team, San Diego shot 68.4 percent which is the highest percentage of the season thus far. Defensively, the Toreros out-rebounded the Vandals 45 to 34. Leading the Toreros in rebounds was Kendall Bird with eight, followed by Kiera Oakry and Kasey Neubert with six, then Nicole Blakes and Sydney Hunter with four. San Diego outworked Idaho defensively with 18 steals compared to the Vandals' eight. Jordyn Edwards' career-high seven steals accounted for 38.8% of San Diego's steals during this game.
