San Diego to Host The Dana on Mission Bay Holiday Tournament this Weekend

Women's Basketball is hosting three teams on Friday and Saturday

SAN DIEGO—Women's Basketball is gearing up to host Fresno State, Drexel, and Nebraska this weekend for The Dana on Mission Bay Holiday tournament in the Jenny Craig Pavilion. The tournament begins on Friday, November 26 and ends on Saturday, November 27. 

The first match-up is between San Diego and Fresno State on Friday 11/26 at 2 PM followed by Drexel vs Nebraska at 4 PM. The outcomes of Friday's games will dictate Saturday's schedule. The two teams who lose on Friday will play each other at 2 PM on Saturday and the two winners will face off at 4 PM later that day.

San Diego's games will be live streamed via the WCC network at 2 PM on Friday and Saturday, the time is TBA. 

Fans have the opportunity to donate canned food items at the games on Friday and in return, fans will receive a raffle ticket to enter into a drawing for a $200 Amazon gift card.

SAN DIEGO
Heading into the tournament, San Diego is coming off a 52-46 win against the United States Air Force Academy on Wednesday, November 17. San Diego's record is 3-1 (0-0 WCC) with Jordyn Edwards, Kiera Oakry, and Kendall Bird leading the Toreros in points, rebounds, and steals per game. Edwards is averaging 10.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game and 14 total steals this season. Next is Oakry averaging 8.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, and 11 total steals. FRESNO STATE

Fresno State's record is 2-2 (0-0 Mountain West) and leading the Bulldogs are Haley Cavinder, Hanna Cavinder, and Amiee Book in points, rebounds, and total steals. Haley Cavinder is averaging 20.8 points, 11 rebounds, and four total steals. Next is Hanna Cavinder is averaging 15 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4 total steals. Following the Cavinder sisters is Book with nine points, 3.3 rebounds, and zero total steals. 

NEBRASKA
The University of Nebraska is 5-0 (0-0 Big Ten) this season coming off a 113-58 win against North Carolina Central on Saturday, November 20. Leading the Cornhuskers in points, rebounds, and steals are Isabelle Bourne, Jaz Shelley, and Ashley Scoggin. Bourn is averaging 14.2 points, five rebounds, and three total steals. Next, Shelley averages 11.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, seven total steals. Scoggin is averaging 11 points, 1.6 rebounds, and five steals. 

DREXEL
The Drexel University Dragons are 3-1 (0-0 CAA) coming off a 65-60 win against Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday, November 20. Leading the Dragons in points, rebounds, and steals are Tessa Brugler, Hannah Nihill, and Keishana Washington. Brugler is averaging 16 points, 9.8 rebounds, and six total steals. Next, Nihill averages 12 points, 2.5 rebounds, and five total steals. Lastly, Washington is averaging 11.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, and seven total steals.
