SAN DIEGO — Winners of five straight contests, San Diego Football (5-4, 5-1 PFL) hosts Morehead State (5-3, 4-1 PFL) for the home finale Saturday. The Toreros and Eagles remain in the hunt in the Pioneer Football League (PFL), trailing only Davidson (5-0) in the standings.
San Diego earned a 21-14 win over Valpo last Saturday, outgaining the Beacons 417-56. Morehead State fell to league-leading Davidson, 29-22.

• USD holds a 13-0 advantage in the all-time series, including a 52-20 win in 2019 to clinch the PFL title.

• Holding a 417-56 advantage in total yards, San Diego won its fifth straight game over Valparaiso on Saturday, 21-14.
• After Valparaiso took an early 14-0 lead, the Toreros scored 21 unanswered points to earn the victory.
• Redshirt sophomore defensive tackle Will Buck registered three sacks, six total tackles, and two quarterback hurries in the win.
• With 1:15 remaining in the fourth quarter, graduate quarterback Mason Randall rushed for a 15-yard touchdown and found wide receiver Christian Brown on a two-point conversion to give San Diego the 21-14 lead.
