The victory marks the most points the Toreros have scored against a WCC opponent since a 2015-16 matchup against LMU.

San Diego took advantage of turnovers in the period, scoring nearly half of its points off of takeaways.

In the fourth, Hunter continued to work down low, hitting a fade away jumper with under eight remaining to increase San Diego's lead, 70-54. Edwards delivered the dagger with back-to-back threes, including her fifth of the night with two minutes to go. San Diego fired away from deep in the quarter, knocking down three shots to account for nine of its 17 points to secure the 82-73 win.
