STOCKTON, Calif. - San Diego's four-point halftime lead wasn't enough as the Toreros (10-5, 7-3 WCC) fell short against Pacific (7-10, 5-9 WCC) on the road on Saturday afternoon, 66-61.

Myah Pace who recorded a new season-high 20 points and five steals.
Jordyn Edwards tacked on 10 points and five steals, and
Erica Martinsen added nine points and two steals off the bench.

San Diego crashed the offensive glass well in Saturday's game, pulling down 12 boards that resulted in six second chance points.

The defense served as the bright spot against the Tigers as USD forced 23 Pacific turnovers, while committing 17 themselves. The takeaways converted into 20 points on the offensive end of the floor as Edwards' five steals led the way individually for San Diego.

The Tigers pounded the paint in the third, generating 12 points near the basket to give them a 47-46 edge headed into the fourth.

Pacific continued to rally in the fourth, outscoring San Diego 19-15 in the period. The Toreros cut the deficit to six as Edwards fired away in transition for a three with under two minutes to go in the fourth. San Diego couldn't pull any closer in the final minute of the period, losing by a final of 66-61.
