SAN DIEGO - San Diego women's soccer (0-1) faces No. 4 UCLA (2-0) on Tuesday before taking on No. 10 BYU (2-1) on Saturday. Tuesday's contest marks the final nonconference matchup for San Diego, before the Toreros return home to take on the Cougars.

• The Toreros return to the pitch after a 4-1 defeat to Pepperdine in the season opener on Saturday. 
• They look to get in the win column this week, taking on two ranked opponents in a five day stretch.

YOUNGSTERS MAKE THEIR CASE

• All six of the USD freshmen made their way into Saturday's game against Pepperdine. 
• Maronne Suzuki, Juliet Anawalt, Katie Baxter, and Leah Pirro were all included in the starting 11.
• Lexi Kaz and Aryssa Mahrt both appeared off the bench in the opener. 
• Kaz added the lone goal from the penalty spot in the 71st minute. 

SCOUTING THE BRUINS

• The Bruins are undefeated so far this season with wins against Pepperdine and BYU.
• It was a 74th minute winner that saw the Bruins defeat BYU on Saturday night.
• The Toreros are 1-18-5 all time against the Bruins, with UCLA winning the previous four. The Toreros last defeated the Bruins in 1993.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS

• BYU is off to a  2-1 start this season, with a defeat their last time out to UCLA.
• The Cougars boast wins against Weber State and Utah and scored a combined 12 goals in those matches.
• San Diego is 3-9 against BYU all time with the Cougars winning the previous two. The Toreros last defeated the Cougars in 2017 in Provo.

HISTORY AGAINST RANKED OPPONENTS

• USD's last victory against a ranked opponent came in 2014 against No. 7 Pepperdine.
• That 2014 season also included back to back victories against ranked opponents in No. 20 San Diego State and No. 19 Oklahoma.
