Box Score SAN DIEGO - Sydney Hunter, Myah Pace, and Steph Gorman combined to score 49 of San Diego's 65 total points, but the Toreros (12-7, 9-5) fell to the Tigers (10-10, 8-9) 67-65 at home on Monday afternoon.
 
Hunter paced the offense, scoring a new career-high 24 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Two more Toreros pitched in with double digit performances as Pace added 13 points, six rebounds and four steals and Gorman chipped in as well with 12 points, four assists and five steals.
 
Led by Hunter's four offensive rebounds, San Diego crashed the offensive glass well, pulling down 19 boards that resulted in 15 second chance points.
 
The San Diego defense caused its share of mistakes in Monday's game, forcing 27 Pacific turnovers. Those takeaways turned into 29 points on the offensive end of the floor. Gorman's five steals led the way individually for the Toreros.

USD's deficit continued to grow after halftime, and the Toreros faced a 48-42 disadvantage heading to the fourth quarter. San Diego knocked down two three-pointers in the quarter to score six of its 10 total points.
 
San Diego narrowed its deficit in the fourth quarter, but couldn't get over the hump, losing 67-65. San Diego took advantage of 10 Pacific turnovers in the quarter, scoring 11 points off of those takeaways.
 
The Toreros are back in action on Thursday, when they'll take on San Francisco on the road at 6 p.m. (PT).
