LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Toreros (9-4, 6-2 WCC) secured their fourth straight win with a 74-64 victory at LMU (5-12, 4-8 WCC) on Monday afternoon. San Diego held the Lions to just 39.6 percent from the field in the contest.

Myah Pace chipped in as well with 13 points and six rebounds.

San Diego came through off the glass in Monday's game, outrebounding LMU 46 to 28. Senior
Sydney Hunter led the way with nine boards as the Toreros racked up 21 second chance points off of 18 offensive rebounds. LMU struggled to clean up their misses on the offensive glass as San Diego cleared 28 defensive rebounds to limit the Lions second chance points to merely three

The defense helped create offensive momentum racking up 25 points off of 17 turnovers. Four players finished the contest with more than one steal as Gorman's seven takeaways led the way individually for the Toreros.

Both teams battled it out early in the first as a steal and score from Pace put San Diego within one with five minutes remaining. The Toreros could not pull any closer and entered the second down by two, 21-23.

The Toreros then rallied, outscoring the Lions 20-12 in the second quarter as
Amanda Olinger provided key points off the bench, creating a 31-27 advantage with five minutes to go in the second. With under two to go, Martinsen delivered a dagger three from deep beyond the wing to create an eight-point edge, 41-33. San Diego dominated in the paint, scoring 10 of its 20 points close to the basket to take a 41-35 halftime lead.

San Diego continued to add to its advantage in the third as Gorman tacked on six points in the period going 2-for-3 from beyond the arc. The defense continued to work, generating three more turnovers in the period to create seven points on the offensive end of the floor. The Toreros never trailed in the third and owned a 53-46 advantage heading into the fourth.

USD coasted to the win from there, increasing their margin of victory by outscoring the Lions 21-18 in the fourth quarter. San Diego took advantage of three LMU turnovers in the quarter, scoring six points off of those takeaways.
