Freshman
McKenna Braegelmann (4-1) was near perfect in game on for the Toreros, throwing a one-hit shutout against the Eagles. She struck out four and walked only one in 21 batters faced.

In the batter's box, the Toreros were led by
Alexia Torculas who went 1-for-2 in the contest with a walk.
Sophia Bjerk and
Sofia Delgado also put together noteworthy performances in game one hitting .500 in the contest.

San Diego struck first in the bottom of the second as Torculas tripled to right. Great baserunning got the Toreros on the board as Princic executed with a stolen base on first and third situation to bring Torculas home.

Braegelmann surrendered her only hit in the top of the sixth, but kept Biola off the board.

The Toreros continued offensive momentum into the sixth as three runs came around on errors by the Eagles.

Courtney Rose came in off the bench to secure the shutout, as San Diego took game one 4-0.

San Diego got out to a hot start in game two but couldn't carry the momentum forward as the Toreros fell 3-2.

Courtney Rose (0-5) came in in relief for San Diego, pitching 3.2 innings and took the loss after giving up 2 runs on 5 hits.

The Toreros scored immediately in the first as
Rion Simms doubled to left center to bring
Amanda Limon home. Biola answered in the top of the second before the Toreros tacked on another as Torculas' baserunning put the Toreros out in front 2-1.

Both teams remained scoreless untilt he fifth when Biola tied it up on a single up the middle.

In the seventh, Biola successfully put a run on the board on a ground ball to short breaking the tie 3-2. Torculas was the sole hitter to reach base in the bottom of seven as the Toreros couldn't bring her around to split the double header.

San Diego is back in action on Sunday as they travel to face crosstown rivals UC San Diego on Sunday at noon and 2 p.m. (PT) in La Jolla.
