MORAGA, Calif. - San Diego women's tennis (8-3, 2-0 WCC) won its third straight match on Saturday with a 5-2 win on the road against St. Mary's (3-5, 1-1 WCC). 

"Always tough playing at St. Mary's", said head coach Sherri Stephens. "We fought hard to pull out the win". 

The Toreros won the first doubles match, a 6-1 win by Jordyn McBride and Abigail Desiatnikov, but lost the doubles point when Solymar Colling and Elizabeth Goldsmith were defeated 6-4 on court one and Elisabeth Andryukhova and Kati Kukaras lost 7-5 on court two. 

The match was evened to 1-1 by McBride who won 6-3, 6-2 on court three, the freshman's third consecutive match win. Kukaras put San Diego ahead 2-1 with a 6-1, 6-4 win on court six. 

Goldsmith extended the Toreros lead to 3-1 with a 1-6, 6-0, 6-2 win on court two and the match was clinched by Desiatnikov who won 6-1, 6-4 on court 4. 

Victoria Kalaitzis made it 5-1 with a 7-6, 7-5 win on court five before St. Mary's made it 5-2 with a 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) win on court one. 

The Toreros will be back in action on Saturday, April 3rd when they take on Portland at home. The match will begin at 10:00 a.m. (PT).
