SAN DIEGO - San Diego men's soccer (2-2-2, 2-1-2 WCC) will face Gonzaga (2-8, 0-5 WCC) on Saturday morning. The match is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. (PT) in Spokane, Wash.

• The Toreros return to the pitch after a thrilling 1-1 double overtime draw against Portland.
• Freshman Rhys Gourdie recorded his first collegiate goal in the 77th minute, coming off of the feed from senior Aidan Marmion.
• The Toreros defense held strong in the second half and overtime periods, allowing no shots on goal after the halftime whistle. 

MARLEY MAYHEM

• Goalkeeper Marley Mascarenas has fared extremely well since stepping into the starting keeper role.
• While the overall record is modest at 1-1-1, Mascarenas has a team leading 1.20 goals against average.
• Last week, Mascarenas came off of his line to make a sliding stop outside the box to keep the Toreros in the game, and previously held No. 14 LMU to a single goal in the match on March 21.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS

• Gonzaga is  0-5 in WCC play this season and has given up nine goals in conference play.
• Gonzaga is balanced offensively this season with all nine goals coming from different players. 
• Starting goalkeeper Johan Garibay is averaging 1.85 goals against on the season.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS

• The Toreros are 28-8-2 all-time against Gonzaga and are currently on a one-game losing streak after dropping the last meeting 2-1 at home in October 2019.
