SANTA CLARA, Calif. - San Diego women's tennis (12-3, 6-0 WCC) continued its winning ways on Saturday by sweeping Santa Clara (2-13, 0-7 WCC) 7-0 on the road. The Toreros have now won the last 11 of 12 matches and continue to remain atop the WCC standings. 

San Diego hit the ground running as Solymar Colling and Elizabeth Goldsmith picked up a 6-2 doubles win on court one. After the Broncos won the doubles match on court three, Jordyn McBride and Abigail Desiatnikov won a hard-fought 7-5 match on court two to clinch the doubles point for the Toreros. It was the duo's sixth consecutive doubles win.

Victoria Kalaitzis won her seventh straight singles match and extended the overall lead to 2-0 with a 6-3, 6-0, and the lead was extended to 3-0 when Kati Kukaras defeated her opponent  6-2, 6-0. The match was clinched by Desiatnikov, who dominated her opposition on court three  6-0, 6-3, her fifth straight singles win.

In the remaining singles matches, Goldsmith won 6-2, 6-4, Colling got her 12th win on the year with a 6-0, 5-7, 1-0 (13-11) win, and Elisabeth Andryukhova got her first singles win of the season with a 6-3, 7-6 (9-7) victory. 

The Toreros will return to the court on Tuesday, April 20, as they take on No. 50 Washington at the Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center at 1:30 p.m. (PT).
