MALIBU, Calif. - San Diego men's tennis (8-10, 5-3 WCC) was defeated 4-0 by No. 30 Pepperdine (15-6, 8-0 ECC) on Sunday afternoon in Malibu.

The Toreros lost the doubles point when David Norfeldt and Marvin Schaber were defeated 6-4 on court two. 

Despite being forced to forfeit on courts five and six, and trailing 3-0 San Diego fought hard in singles, nearly pushing all three matches to three sets. August Holmgren won his first set and was only trailing 5-3 in his second set while Nico Borter battled back from a first defeat to win 6-3 in his second set. However, Pepperdine clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-4 win on court four. 

The Toreros will return home for their final match of the season, a showdown with cross town rival San Diego State on Saturday, May 1 at 12:30 p.m.
