SAN DIEGO – San Diego will play host to Stetson in its final home game of the season on Saturday at 1 p.m. (PT) in Torero Stadium.

The Toreros (3-1, 2-1 PFL) will celebrate six graduating seniors, Joel Daul, Kevin Glajchen, Luke LaCilento, Mato Pacheco, Chris Reese and Connor Strode before facing the Hatters (0-3, 0-2 PFL) as PFL play begins to wrap up.

LAST TIME OUT
• After a dominant run, San Diego suffered its first PFL loss since 2015 on Saturday, falling to Davidson 31-25 to end the Toreros' historic league winning streak at 39 games, tying the FCS record.
 
• USD finished the day with 357 total yards (269 passing, 88 rushing) while allowing 449 yards (189 passing, 260 rushing) for the Wildcats.
 
•  Mason Randall finished 22-of-44 for 269 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
 
•  Michael Carner finished with five catches for 74 yards and a touchdown, while Christian Brown also recorded 74 yards on six catches. Derek Kline hauled in five catches for 62 yards and a touchdown.
 
•  Emilio Martinez led the way on the ground with 12 carries for 75 yards (6.2 avg) and added six catches for 36 yards to finish with 111 yards and a touchdown.
 
•  Kyle Bilchik led the defense with 15 tackles (5 solo), while Kama Kamaka (7 solo), Hunter Nichols (6 solo) and Michael Hawkins (3 solo) finished with 12 tackles each. Nichols added one tackle for a loss of one yard and a pass breakup.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST STETSON
• Saturday will be the eighth meeting between the Toreros and the Hatters. USD leads the all-time series 7-0.
 
• Last season the Toreros won a 51-7 contest in DeLand, Fla., finishing with 610 yards of offense including 353 rushing yards and 257 passing yards.
 
CELEBRATING THE SENIORS
• Prior to Saturday's game, San Diego will honor graduating seniors Joel Daul (DE), Kevin Glajchen (DT), Luke LaCilento (LG), Mato Pacheco (CB), Chris Reese (DE) and Connor Strode (P).
 
• In four seasons, the 2020-21 senior class holds a 31-10 overall record, a 26-1 PFL record and a 16-2 record at home in Torero Stadium. The seniors helped USD to three PFL titles and three trips to the FCS Playoffs, including a 41-10 first-round victory over Northern Arizona in 2017.

LOOKING AHEAD
• San Diego will hit the road for its regular season finale next Saturday, April 17 when the Toreros take on Valparaiso at 10 a.m. (PT) in Valparaiso, Ind.

2021 SPRING FOOTBALL
• USD begins its 58th season of play this spring, and 28th season as a member of the Pioneer Football League during the 2020-21 academic year. The Toreros own the second-most PFL titles with 11 (Dayton leads with 12) and have won eight of the last nine PFL championships (2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015c, 2014, 2012c, 2011c) and 11 overall when adding in titles from 2007c, 2006 and 2005.
 
• USD has made four consecutive trips to the FCS Playoffs and twice advanced to the second round. The Toreros are the only non-scholarship program in FCS history to earn wins in the postseason tournament.
 
COACH LINDSEY BEGINS EIGHTH SEASON
• Head coach Dale Lindsey enters his eighth season at the helm of USD. The three-time PFL Coach of the Year and four-time national coach of the year finalist has 66 wins in his head coaching career as well as a 56-4 record in conference play.
 
TEAM CAPTAINS
DJ Wright (OL) and Kyle Bilchik (LB) were selected as the team captains for 2020-21.
 
UNIQUE SPRING
• The spring 2021 season marks the 28th year for the Pioneer Football League – the nation's only non-scholarship, football-only NCAA Football Championship Subdivision conference. The league will feature seven league members and Presbyterian, which joins the PFL as part of a scheduling agreement for the spring 2021 schedule, each playing three home and three away contests. Individual members may schedule nonconference games prior to the league's March 13-April 17 window.
 
• The Division I Football Championship will feature 16 teams, with the bracket announced Sunday, April 18, and the championship game, May 16 in Frisco, Texas. The spring 2021 field includes automatic bids from 11 FCS conferences, including the PFL, and five at-large selections.
