Toreros finish in 27th at NCAA Championships

Scottsdale, Ariz - One of the best seasons in San Diego men's golf history came to a conclusion on Sunday as the Toreros finished 27th at the 2021 NCAA at Grayhawk Golf Club (Par 70, 7289 Yards).

The Toreros have continued to improve each year under fourth-year head coach Chris Riley and made huge strides this season as they earned a bid to the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 2015 and qualified for the NCAA Championships for the fourth time in program history and the first time since 2011.

San Diego was the only double-digit seed to advance past the regional stage.

This season also saw the Toreros pick up their first tournament win since 2014 at the La Purisima College Invite and featured three players that earned All-WCC honors as Charlie Reiter was named to the All-WCC First Team and Andi Xu and Jamie Cheatham earned All-WCC Honorable Mention.
