SANTA BARBARA, CALIF. — San Diego men's soccer (0-0-0, 0-0-0 WCC) is set to begin its 2021 season at UC Santa Barbara (0-0-0, 0-0-0 Big West) before returning to Torero Stadium to host Lipscomb in what will mark its 2021 home debut.
The Toreros will take on the Gauchos at 7 p.m. at the 17,000-seat Harder Stadium on Thursday, August 26, then welcome the Bisons to San Diego for a 6 p.m. kickoff on Sunday, August 29.

ALL-TIME SERIES VERSUS THE GAUCHOS
USD is 7-11-1 against UC Santa Barbara all-time, with the two programs' most recent meeting coming on October 1, 2019, a 2-2 tie at Torero Stadium.
San Diego is 2-6 all-time at Harder Stadium, a span that includes an NCAA Tournament game in 2002.
The Toreros' most recent win in Santa Barbara came in September of 1989, when USD took down the Gauchos by a 3-2 margin.
USD has scored 20 goals and allowed 40 in its 19 meetings with UC Santa Barbara.
ALL-TIME SERIES VERSUS THE BISONS
USD is 2-1-0 versus Lipscomb all-time, with the two programs' most recent meeting coming in September 2018 in Nashville, a 1-0 win for the Toreros.
The Bisons and USD have met just once at Torero Stadium — a double-overtime thriller that went to the Lipscomb by a 3-2 margin.
The Toreros have scored six goals and allowed just four in their three matchups with Lipscomb.
LAST TIME OUT
The Toreros enjoyed a successful exhibition match at CSUN last Saturday evening, beating the Matadors by a score of 2-1.

Miltiadis Hadjipanayiotou answered back at the 45:17 mark in the second half after CSUN tied it to earn the Toreros a 2-1 victory.
