Toreros Set to Face The Beach

San Diego offense looking to carry early success into Long Beach State match

SAN DIEGO - San Diego women's soccer (3-1) continues the homestand against Long Beach State (2-1) on Thursday, September 2 at 7 p.m. (PT) in Torero Stadium. 

The match will be live streamed on the WCC Network and will have live statistics provided via USDToreros.com.

ALL-TIME AGAINST LONG BEACH STATE
  • The Toreros are 11-5-2 all-time against Long Beach State, with a significant advantage in goal differential 34-9.
  • At home, San Diego is 5-1-1 against "The Beach", where they have outscored them 15-2.

OFFENSIVE ONSLAUGHT
  • Eight players have already opened their scoring accounts for the Toreros this season, including two goals each from junior forwards Bekah Valdez and Delaney Jannone. 
  • Five players have also recorded assists, with two each from sophomore midfielder Maronne Suzuki, sophomore forward Aryssa Mahrt, and freshman forward Lexi Nobles.
  • Through four games, the Toreros have already recorded 31 shots on target.

LAST WEEK'S RESULTS
  • The Toreros played twice last week, going 1-1.
  • San Diego defeated UC Irvine 3-0 on Thursday afternoon before falling to Seattle 2-3 on Saturday night. 
  • Valdez paced the scoring with two goals, with Jannone, senior defender Michaela Foster and junior defender Sydney Hopkins all chipping in a goal apiece as well.
