SAN DIEGO — San Diego men's soccer tallied seven shots (two on goal) but could not break through against UC Davis, suffering a 3-0 defeat to the Aggies at Torero Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Nicklas Clausen and
Ross Johnstone each had a single shot on goal. Clausen had a total of three shots,
Praise Maduekwe had two, and
Owen Wiebe had one. Goalkeeper
Marley Mascarenas had a single save on the day.
UC Davis scored after 43:20 of play to take a 1-0 lead into halftime, then added on with a pair of goals in the 73rd and 76th minutes to make it a 3-0 game.
The Toreros are back in action on Wednesday, September 15th when they take on UC Irvine. Kickoff at Torero Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
