FULLERTON, CALIF. — San Diego men's soccer will hit the road this Sunday to take on Cal State Fullerton, ending their week with a matchup against the Titans at Titan Stadium at 5 p.m.


The match is set to be broadcast on ESPN+, and live statistics will be available on FullertonTitans.com.

ALL-TIME RECORD VERSUS CAL STATE FULLERTON
The Toreros are 14-12-5 against the Titans all-time, with the two programs' most recent meeting coming in September of 2018, a 1-0 USD loss in overtime at Torero Stadium.

USD is 4-3-1 at Titan Stadium since it opened in 1992.

CLAUSEN IS CLUTCH
Sophomore Nicklas Clausen has been the Toreros' most dynamic player on offense thus far in 2021, with 18 shots, 11 shots on goal, and four goals to his credit through USD's seven total games. The Denmark native scored twice in the Toreros' 2-0 win over CSU Bakersfield last Friday at home, finding the back of the net in the 13th and 77th minutes, and added a goal and four shots (three on goal) versus UC Irvine on Wednesday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Toreros dropped a tough 3-1 loss to UC Irvine despite outshooting the Anteaters 20 to 11, with Robert Webb equaling Clausen with four shots of his own (one on goal), Sage Bolaris and Michael Barrow each totaling two (one on goal apiece), and Owen Wiebe, Ross Johnstone, Kai Peterson, Luke Pardoe, Till Stockmann, Michael Wilkerson, Bryce Even, and Markus Jonsson with one.

Goalkeeper Berk Watson got his first start of the season and recorded two saves.

UC Irvine jumped out to an early lead after Oscar Delgado scored in the sixth minute to give his team a 1-0 advantage. Christian Bond-Flasza scored in the 19th minute to take a 2-0 lead to halftime and Kelvin Nuemetzler added on in the 50th minute before Clausen got the Toreros on the board at the 65:36 mark.
