FULLERTON, Calif. —
Luke Pardoe scored his first goal in a Torero uniform and
Ross Johnstone and
Rhys Gourdie recorded three shots apiece, but a pair of late goals from Cal State Fullerton dealt San Diego men's soccer a 3-1 defeat at Titan Stadium on Sunday night.
USD took a 1-1 tie with the Titans into halftime after Pardoe scored in the 22nd minute, then CSUF's Samuel Owusu evened the score five minutes later at the 27:40 mark.
Things stayed tied until late in the second half, but the Titans' Sebastian Cruz and Erick Serrano scored in the 76th and 77th minutes to earn their team a 3-1 win over USD.
Pardoe led the way for the Toreros with four shots (one on goal), and Johnstone and Gourdie had three, with Gourdie having his team's only other shot on goal.

USD is back in action on Wednesday, September 22 when it takes on UC San Diego. Kickoff at Torero Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
