RENO, Nev. — A Top-15 finish from Junior
Kelvin Si headlined a resurgent performance from San Diego golf on Tuesday afternoon at the Reno Wolf Pack Classic, leading the Toreros to finish fourth out of 12 teams at Hidden Valley Country Club (Par 72, 7,302 yards).
Si, a native of Macao, carded rounds of 67, 71, and 73 for a total of 211 strokes that was five under par and tied for 15th place.
As a team, USD combined for rounds of 277, 281, and 285 for a total of 843 strokes that was 21 under par and just one shot behind third-place BYU (-22, 842).
Si was closely followed by sophomore Oregon State transfer
Carson Enright, who turned in a four-under 212 (72, 71, 69) to finish tied for 19th.
Junior
Andi Xu was next at T-23 with a three-under 213 (69, 70, 74), followed by redshirt senior
Evan Kawai at T-28 with a two-under 214 (69, 71, 74), redshirt senior
Harrison Kingsley at T-34 with a one-under 215 (77, 69, 69), and freshman
Michael Behr competing as an individual in 69th place (+14, 230, 78, 79, 73).
The Toreros are back in action on Monday, October 31Â when they wrap up their Fall 2022 schedule at the Saint Mary's Invitational at Poppy Hills Golf Course (Par 71, 7,002 yards) in Pebble Beach, California.
