SAN DIEGO – The San Diego women's soccer program (2-8-3, 0-2 WCC) heads back on the road for a short trip up the coast to Los Angeles, Calif., to face Loyola Marymount (2-3-6, 0-3 WCC) on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m., at Sullivan Field.
LAST TIME OUT
The Toreros matched a season high with 13 shots, but were unable to score in a 2-0 defeat to Gonzaga on Oct. 8. Junior
Laney Steed led the way with four shots for the Toreros, while freshman goalkeeper
Sophine Kevorkian made five saves in the loss.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- San Diego have been on a hot streak against the Lions, leading the all-times series against LMU 25-3-1 and have won the last five meetings.
- Last time the two sides met, Sara Evans recorded a brace to lead the Toreros to a 2-0 win.
- The Toreros are 119-102-8 (.537) all-time in WCC play dating back to 1992.
- The Toreros have had 18 players make at least one start for the team in 2022. Adalee Broadbent, Delaney Jannone and Eden Quiroz have been the rocks of the rotation, starting all 13 games.
- 14 of the 26 points (53.8%) tallied by the Toreros this season have come from a freshman. Cameryn Maddox (six) and Josefine Schlichting (four) have been the leaders for the Toreros.
- Another tie for Kevorkian in net would give her three and match Brittany Cameron (2007) for the second most ties in a single season in Toreros history.

- Kevorkian currently ranks second in the West Coast Conference in three categories: total saves (58), saves per game (4.46) and total minutes played (1103:54). Between Kevorkian and Ellyn Casto, the Toreros rank second in the WCC in team saves per game (5.08) and rank 71st in the NCAA.
- Kevorkian is also in pursuit of the single season record books at San Diego, as she is 27 saves away from reaching a tie for 10th on the single season charts (85 saves) with Danielle Lopez (1992) and Michelle Craft (2015).
- Maddox currently ranks in a tie for eighth in points among freshman in the WCC with six.
- Dating back to her time at Maryland, Broadbent has played in 1,731 consecutive minutes, including every minute of this season.
