SAN DIEGO – The San Diego women's soccer program (2-9-3, 0-4 WCC) is back in Torero Stadium for a quick, one game stint, hosting Santa Clara (7-6-1, 4-0 WCC) on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.

The Toreros offense found a number of strong opportunities, but could not break through as they fell 2-0 to Loyola Marymount on Saturday night in Los Angeles. San Diego set a season-high with 15 shots and
Eden Quiroz rang a free kick off the crossbar, but were unable polish off their chances. Goalkeeper
Sophine Kevorkian made four saves in net.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- San Diego is seeking its first win against Santa Clara since 2016 and trail 8-21-0 in the all-time series.
- The Toreros are 119-103-8 (.535) all-time in WCC play dating back to 1992.
- Sophomore Bella Piete made her return to action on Saturday night after missing five games due to injury. Piete was a key piece of the lineup as a freshman, starting 17 of 18 games.
- 14 of the 26 points (53.8%) tallied by the Toreros this season have come from a freshman. Cameryn Maddox (six) and Josefine Schlichting (four) have been the leaders for the Toreros.
- Another tie for Kevorkian in net would give her three and match Brittany Cameron (2007) for the second most ties in a single season in Toreros history.

- Kevorkian currently ranks second in the West Coast Conference in three categories: total saves (62), saves per game (4.43) and total minutes played (1193:54). Between Kevorkian and Ellyn Casto, the Toreros rank second in the WCC in team saves per game (5.07) and rank 71st in the NCAA.
- Kevorkian is also in pursuit of the single season record books at San Diego, as she is 23 saves away from reaching a tie for 10th on the single season charts (85 saves) with Danielle Lopez (1992) and Michelle Craft (2015).
- Maddox currently ranks in a tie for eighth in points among freshman in the WCC with six.
- Dating back to her time at Maryland, graduate student Adalee Broadbent has played in 1,821 consecutive minutes, including every minute of this season.
