SAN DIEGO – The San Diego women's soccer program (2-7-3, 0-2 WCC) is set to complete a two-game home set with a matchup against Gonzaga (6-2-3, 1-0-1 WCC) on Saturday night at 7 p.m., in Torero Stadium.
LAST TIME OUT
The Toreros started off with a brilliant defensive first half, limiting No. 15 Portland to just one shot on goal, but ultimately dropped a tight 2-0 decision to the Pilots on Wednesday night. Goalkeeper
Sophine Kevorkian made four saves in the defeat.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- San Diego leads the all-times series against Gonzaga 19-10-0, but are looking to snap a four-game skid to the Zags.
- The Toreros are 119-101-8 (.540) all-time in WCC play dating back to 1992.
- The Toreros have had 18 players make at least one start for the team in 2022. Adalee Broadbent, Delaney Jannone and Eden Quiroz have been the rocks of the rotation, starting all 12 games.
- 14 of the 26 points (53.8%) tallied by the Toreros this season have come from a freshman. Cameryn Maddox (six) and Josefine Schlichting (four) have been the leaders for the Toreros.
