SAN DIEGO — With the calendar turning to November, San Diego Football (3-4, 2-2 PFL) turns its attention to Butler (6-2, 4-1 PFL) on Saturday. The Toreros are 2-0 at home this season, including a 58-0 win over La Verne and a 28-3 victory over Presbyterian.
LAST TIME OUT
• In an offensive battle, USD (3-4, 2-2 PFL) was edged at St. Thomas (7-1, 5-0 PFL), 49-42.
• Graduate quarterback Judd Erickson completed 33-of-49 pass attempts for a career-high 361 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. All-purpose threat Re-al Mitchell caught nine passes and rushed four times for 209 total yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore wide receiver Vance Jefferson caught six passes for 35 yards and a touchdown, and also threw a five-yard touchdown pass to Ja'seem Reed in the second quarter. Wide receiver Michael Carner ended with eight catches, 96 yards, and a touchdown in the loss.
• Graduate defensive lineman Mykee Irving led the defense with 10 total tackles, while fellow linemen Will Buck and Jacob Saewitz each added a sack.

• The Toreros hold a 21-5 lead in the all-time series, including nine straight wins and 16 of the last 17. Last season, USD won 52-21 after outscoring the Bulldogs 38-7 in the second half.
