  • San Diego went wire-to-wire for the victory and recorded 20 steals, which was a threshold only met twice in last season's NCAA steals-leading season.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

  • The Toreros return nine members of their 2021-22 unit, including Pace, who was recently named to the preseason All-WCC team.
  • San Diego welcomes four newcomers to the roster for the 2022-23 season. Transfers Jess Finney (Washington) and Claire Gallagher (Lafayette) join the team as sophomores, while freshmen Melesungu Afeaki and Veronica Sheffey get set for their first season in San Diego.
