Box Score PORTLAND — The Toreros defeated the Portland Pilots in a close contest, resulting in a 61-53 finish. 

Kylie Horstmeyer set a new career high of 16 points and led the Toreros in scoring. Two other Toreros scored in double-digits, Kendall Bird had 11 and Sydney Hunter finished with 10. Another key contributor on offense was Jordyn Edwards who finished with nine points. Collectively, San Diego tallied 15 assists. 

On defense, San Diego collected 36 rebounds, 13 steals, and had one block. The Toreros also forced 20 turnovers on the Pilots. For the fourth consecutive game, Jordyn Edwards led the team in steals with three.

• In the first quarter, Sydney Hunter led the team in scoring with four points. 
• San Diego grabbed seven rebounds in the first quarter.
• The Toreros had seven steals in the first half. Jordyn Edwards led the team with two steals. 
• Kendall Bird drives to the hoop and puts up a layup while getting fouled for a three-point play. Bird puts San Diego in the lead 23-22 at halftime. 
• Horstmeyer led the Toreros in scoring with seven points in the third quarter. 
• Kendall Bird blocked one shot in the third quarter. 
• San Diego grabbed 11 defensive rebounds in the fourth quarter.
