RIVERSIDE — The Toreros came up short in their double header against Cal Bapist resulting in two losses, 2-6 in the first game and 2-5 in the second game.

• Madison Earnshaw started in the circle for the Toreros. 
• In the top of second, Joecellia Roberts singled to left field and stole second on the next pitch. 
• Madison Earnshaw recorded her first strikeout in the bottom of the fourth to close the inning. 
• In the bottom of the sixth, Madison Earnshaw struck out her second batter for the third out. 
• In the top of the seventh, Arisa Tovar hit a home run to kick off the inning and drove in two RBIs. Ashley Daughtery scores, San Diego trails 2-6.

TORERO TIDBITS

• Madison Earnshaw recorded two strikeouts against Cal Baptist in six innings pitched. Earnshaw is the Toreros' second-leading pitcher in total strikeouts with 30 total this season. 
• Arisa Tovar hit her first home run of the season and served her first as a Torero. Tovar is one of four Toreros to hit a homerun this season. 
• The Toreros had three hits against CBU from Alexia Torculas, Joecellia Roberts, and Arisa Tovar.

• In the top of the second, Sofia Delgado tripled to right field. 
• Ashley Daugherty singled to the pitcher to send Delgado to score, San Diego was tied, 1-1, in the top of the second.
• In the top of the fourth, AJ Kaiser singled through the right side. 
• In the bottom of the fourth, Ashley Daugherty recorded her fifth strikeout of the game
• Courtney Rose replaced Ashley Daugherty in the circle in the bottom of the fifth. Rose struck out three batters for all three outs to end the inning. 
• In the top of the sixth, Sofia Delgado tripled down the right field line, her second of the night.
• Ashley Daugherty homered to center field and drove in one RBI in the top of the seventh. 

TORERO TIDBITS

• Ashlay Daugherty struck out five batters in four innings pitched. In the 2022 season, Daugherty has struck out 14 batters. 
• Courtney Rose continues to lead the Toreros' pitching staff in strikeouts with 49 after adding three to her total tonight in two innings pitched.
• Sofia Delgado hit two triples to right field, which are her first of the 2022 season. 
• This is the second consecutive game where two Toreros hit homeruns at the top of the seventh inning; Arisa Tovar hit one in game one followed by Ashley Daugherty in the second.
