STANFORD, Calif. – The San Diego women's soccer program (2-4-2, 0-0 WCC) dropped a 5-0 decision at No. 9 Stanford (7-1, 0-0 PAC-12) on Thursday afternoon at Maloney Field at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.

Louise Lieberman. "Stanford is a quality side with many strong attributes. We couldn't get into our rhythm enough to demonstrate our strengths. We love the opportunity to play against opponents that can help us improve as both a team and program and that was a great asset for us today. We are looking forward to the growth this game gives us moving forward into the season."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinal opened the scoring in the 16th minute, as Lumi Kostmayer scored her first of three goals in the contest.
- Sophine Kevorkian and the Toreros defense held off the Cardinal attack in the first half, trailing 1-0 at the break.
- Kevorkian faced 15 shots in the first half and made six saves in the opening period.
- The goals would begin to come for the Cardinal in the second half, as they scored four goals in the frame.
TORERO TIDBITS
- Kevorkian set a new career-high with 10 saves in net for the Toreros.
- Adalee Broadbent continues her ironwoman streak, playing in all 90 minutes once again. Dating back to her time at Maryland, Broadbent has played in 1,281 consecutive minutes.
- Delaney Jannone and Josefine Schlichting each tallied two shots to lead the Toreros offense.
