HOW IT HAPPENED
- UC Davis got on the board first early in the first quarter, connecting on a 16-yard touchdown pass.
- After intercepting a USD pass, UC Davis extended its lead with a six-play, 78-yard touchdown drive to go ahead 14-0.
- The Aggies blocked a punt in the beginning of the second quarter, and later capitalized with a nine-yard touchdown rush.
- UC Davis struck again with a 50-yard pass down the middle followed by a 15-yard touchdown pass. It led 28-0 with 8:43 left in the second quarter.
- USD answered with a seven play, 66-yard touchdown drive to get on the board. Childers registered a 21-yard rush, and Judd Erickson later found Jefferson down the left side for a 28-yard touchdown connection.
- Late in the first half, UC Davis went 71 yards in 3:37, eventually rushing for a 7-yard touchdown to extend its lead to 35-7 by halftime.
- After UC Davis missed a 46-yard field goal attempt, San Diego answered with a touchdown. On a third-and-8, Erickson evaded pressure and found Carner for a 31-yard pass. Later, Mitchell took a snap, rushed to the right, and hurdled a defender en route to a 15-yard score.
- On a fourth-and-8 from the USD31, Hunter Nichols broke up a pass in the end zone to give USD the ball back.
- Late in the third quarter, the Aggies connected on a 62-yard touchdown pass to go ahead 43-13.
- Neither team scored in the fourth quarter.
