VALPARAISO, IN — San Diego Football (1-2, 0-0 PFL) travels to Valparaiso for the 2022 PFL opener. Since 2011, the Toreros have the best conference winning percentage in all of FCS with a record of 78-8. USD was picked to finish second in the PFL Preseason Poll, while the Beacons were picked eighth.

• In the final non-conference game of the 2022 season, the University of San Diego football team fell at UC Davis, 43-13.
• The Toreros compiled 352 yards of total offense, including 166 on the ground. Sophomore wide receiver Vance Jefferson caught a career-high nine passes for 104 yards and a touchdown.
