SAN DIEGO – The San Diego women's soccer program (2-4-2, 0-0 WCC) is set to wrap up a five-game road swing, traveling to Cal Poly (3-5-0, 1-0 Big West) for a match on Thursday night at 7 p.m., at Alex G. Spanos Stadium in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
LAST TIME OUT
The Toreros dropped a 5-0 decision at then No. 9 Stanford on Thursday, Sept. 15. Freshman goalkeeper
Sophine Kevorkian battled throughout the game and made a career-high 10 saves in the loss.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- San Diego holds a 6-5-1 record against Cal Poly in the all-time series and have won the last two matches. The Toreros also haven't given up a goal to the Mustangs since 2003.
- Senior Eden Quiroz is the lone Torero to have faced Cal Poly, playing in the 1-0 Toreros win on Sept. 8, 2019.
- The Toreros have secured a win or a draw in three of the four games contested this September, with all of them coming on the road.
- 11 of the 22 points (50%) tallied by the Toreros this season have come from a freshman.
- Thursday's game is the final non-conference road game of the season, with the next road contest set to open WCC action at Pepperdine.
