SAN DIEGO – Due to circumstances caused by Hurricane Ian, the University of San Diego football game against Stetson this Saturday at Torero Stadium has been canceled. The contest will not be rescheduled.
 
"On behalf of everyone at the University of San Diego, our thoughts and prayers go out to the Stetson and Deland communities and everyone that may be affected by Hurricane Ian," said Associate VP/Executive Director of Athletics Bill McGillis. "The safety and well-being of the Stetson student-athletes, staff and their families has been our primary concern and the rightful focus of our conversations which led to the cancellation of the game."
 
The Toreros will return to action on Saturday, October 8 at Drake before returning home on October 15 to face Presbyterian.
