SAN DIEGO – The San Diego women's basketball program (10-10, 4-5 WCC) are off on their penultimate road trip of the regular season, facing Pacific (7-13, 2-7 WCC) on Thursday at 6 p.m., and Saint Mary's (10-10, 4-5 WCC) on Saturday at 5 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
- San Diego could not bounce back from a first half deficit and would ultimately fall, 69-56, to San Francisco on Saturday at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
- Kasey Neubert attempted to will her side into the game late, with 10 points and four rebounds in the fourth quarter alone, en route to 14 points and seven rebounds, but the Toreros couldn't complete the comeback.
OPPONENT HISTORY
- San Diego has won the last three meetings against Pacific, including an 84-74 win on Dec. 31 of this season. San Diego is 21-11 all-time against the Tigers.
- The Toreros recently improved to 22-47 all-time against Saint Mary's, winning a 69-65 overtime classic on Dec. 29, 2022.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- Handling the basketball remains one of the key factors for San Diego, who lead the WCC in turnover margin (1.90), while ranking third in turnovers forced per game (16.55).
- Seven of the eight and nine of the 11 lowest turnover performances from the Toreros this season have come in WCC play.
- The Toreros continue to find success on the glass, ranking in the top-50 nationally in offensive rebounds per game (14.2).
- San Diego is hoping to jump out to an early lead, where they tend to have the most success. San Diego is 9-3 when leading or tied at halftime, while 1-7 when they trail. The team broke their 0-5 start when they trail with a 16-point comeback victory over Saint Mary's on Dec. 29.
